If you find yourself looking for a blog with regards to all things anime, you’ve come to the right place. My nickname is Rose/Rosepetals, and I’ll humbly be your tour guide. *bows*
I’m glad you’ve taken the time to visit, even if you don’t take my opening line seriously (in which case, I am; if you know me from over at Media, my twin blog, then you’ll know that this is a normal thing for me
). This post is just a way for me to be able to greet and show you what updates I’ll be making to this blog from time to time.
About the blog, in brief, this was a subsection that was split in May 2008 of my main blog “Media through Rose-Tinted Glasses”. It became such a large part of what I was blogging that I decided to separate it out and let it be taken for what it is. I took a long hiatus from both this blog and Media for several months, bogged down with school, but now, I’m semi-active and trying to keep it going. I don’t really do it for profit, just as a hobby.
I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog, perhaps even find something new to take from it all, and finding out a bit about my own preferences/opinions in the mix.
Updates: 12/29/2008 I will post what I have of my Favorite Anime Inserts/Endings Compilations complete, at least what I can get through this weekend, but it may be a while before the countdown itself is actually finished.
Doing a best of compilation entry with respect to 2008. The year has yielded some gems when it comes to series, but overall, compared to the past few years, I have to say I’m disappointed. There were a lot of series that had potential in their beginning runs only to lose steam either at the very end or gradually lost it as it went on. Still, I think it’s worth mentioning some of the titles that stood out in my eyes over the past year.
After that, I’ll have to jump back into a few series that I stopped blogging: Nodame Cantabile (season 1) and Higurashi Kai. I’m finishing those off after taking a hiatus from them for a long, long time. I don’t know if I’ll go back to blogging anime series after those two, at least as I follow them. It takes more time than I actually have in my life to follow that intricately, unless I already own the series and can write at my own pace. There are many other blogs who tackle the detailed anime summaries a lot more than myself, but what I will probably keep doing are the “First Impressions” blogs and perhaps a summary blog (like a review) of series as I finish them. It all depends on time, something I don’t have a lot of these days, but then again, who does?
Love and Luck,
Rose
